Speaker:  Louise St.Denis
Topic:      Education for Genealogists  
                 Louise is the  Managing Director of  the National Institute for Genealogical Studies  and one of its faculty members.  Louise has many years of genealogical research experience.

Speaker:  Marian Press
Topic:      Newspapers Online for Genealogists          
                Marian is a recently retired librarian, formerly at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, where she worked in the rapidly expanding universe of electronic access to information.

Speaker:  Dr. Fraser Dunford
Topic:      T.O.N.I. (The Ontario Name Index) This O.G.S. project is creating an Index based on the collected O.G.S. data bases.  It shows where information about a particular name can be found.  TONI will quickly become large – perhaps as many as fifty million entries.  Currently available records are abou 546,356.  Note that this is an index – it does not contain the information, just tells you where to find the information.  TONI will be on the public part of the OGS website.  Fraser is a retired engineer and university administrator who has been involved in genealogy for about 25 years.  He is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.  For many years Fraser was the Executive Director of OGS.

Member Volunteers take turns making 5-10 minute presentations about an interesting facet of their Family History quests.   A discovery or a unique artifact or an interesting location or a surprise family connection  . . . And followed by
Sharing Finger food treats brought by the attendees and refreshments provided by the Branch.
Festive Celebrations of the Season
e.g. Christmas - Hanukkah - Kwanzaa - Winter Solstice and others.
