FamilyTreeDNA has announced that their DNA tests are on sale for the period of April 21st to April 25th as their way of celebrating DNA Day. There are reductions on all their available tests: Y-DNA, mt-DNA and autosomal DNA.

Thomas MacEntee, who spoke at our OGS Conference in May, has pointed out a big savings in the Ancestry DNA Kit on his blog "Geneabloggers". This offer is through his affiliate program with Ancestry.com, and hopefully will also work for those of us in Canada. It is in US dollars.

If you remember our June speaker, Maurice Gleeson, mentioned that to fish in 2 of the biggest pools of DNA results, you need to test on Ancestry, then download your raw data from Ancestry, upload it to Family Tree DNA for a minimal cost ($39 USD when I last checked), and then you will see matches in both databases (the most economical way).
