This year celebrates an important milestone in the history of Canada, marking 150 years since the British North America Act of 1867 came into effect, resulting in the creation of Canada. Our confederation was many years in the making, and our own Oshawa residents played important roles in the development and growth of our country.

So far only 55,000 of the more than 4 million Canadians recorded on the 1881 Census have been claimed!
